Hop was created by hoteliers for hoteliers. Their cloud-based and responsive all-in-one Property Management System (PMS) empowers hoteliers to manage their properties, teams, and daily operations more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Hop was having multiple issues with Merchant ID (MID) activation for new customers
wanting to connect to their PMS and take payments. This caused onboarding issues
and transactions to fail, leaving the customer to go backwards and forwards with the
banks to obtain the correct MID. This was a substantial problem for Hop, affecting customer relationships and causing a much longer onboarding process.
Connecting With Swipen
Through Swipen’s partnerships with Sharp and ACR EPoS Systems, Hop connected
with Swipen and our Sales Director, Lorne McConnachie. Hop urgently needed a solution to their MID difficulties and Lorne suggested a bespoke system that provides a
payments gateway and acquiring all in one place – this was created and branded as
Hop always wanted its own payments gateway that offered the best rates and service.
We wanted transparent pricing and no hidden costs, and a quick and seamless on-boarding process. For us, Swipen was the obvious choice of partner.
