GOALS is the leading and most popular small-sided football operator in the UK. With over 400 elite ProTurf pitches across 44 locations, their sites span the length and breadth of the UK. #AcceptNoSubstitutes.
The Problem
GOALS was having significant issues with their previous payment provider (PSP), which ultimately could not be resolved. Their accepted payment methods – app, online and in-person – were all managed by different providers, and so were not integrated. GOALS were also processing just 30% of their payments online and paying a substantial fee.

Connecting With Swipen
Following a press release from Swipen highlighting our work with Pizza Hut, GOALS approached us in the hopes we could modernise their payment set-up. Despite being in the midst of the Covid pandemic, they wanted to update their payment tech, increase their online payments, improve the booking system for their customers, and save money.

Following the easing of lockdown restrictions, getting our players onto the pitch quickly and safely
was a priority.
The addition of Apple Pay on our app and website, plus the new booking kiosks, have given us a faster and more efficient payment journey and improved the experience for our customers.
