Swipen Ltd are pleased to announce that we are now registered with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
In the UK, nearly all financial service activities must be authorised by the FCA. Unfortunately, Independent Sales Organisations (ISOs) and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) are not required to register. As such, they effectively govern themselves and, for the consumer, there’s little to no protection from bad conduct.
With Swipen’s ethos of honesty and transparency for everything we do, we chose to become one of the few PSPs to successfully register with the FCA. This allows us to provide independent and regulated assurance and protection to our customers.
The FCA helps to ensure that firms put their customers first and offer appropriate financial products and services. The Authority also ‘monitors which firms and individuals are able to enter the financial markets, making sure they meet the standards before authorising them’.
As such, the application process for registering with the FCA is extremely detailed, extensive, diligent, and takes many months to complete. We felt our company’s high standards, code of conduct and character were a perfect fit, and we are proud that we have now completed this process to become an authorised and regulated member of the FCA.
We knew there was a better way and so we created Swipen.
